A Few Easy Ways to Check …

Mobile Repsonsive DesignIn today’s technological fast-paced world, people are always plugged in no matter where they go thanks to smartphone technology.  With over half of the adult population in the United States owning a smartphone, it’s imperative that your website is optimized for access on mobile devices.  There are a couple quick ways to check how responsive your website is to mobile configurations.

First, check your homepage from your desktop computer.  Start by clicking the “Restore Down” icon that appears in the upper right corner.  Now you want to grab and drag the upper right corner towards the left of the screen until you’ve reached something about the size of a mobile image.  If your website is responsive and in good shape, the top navigation should minimize down into a menu bar and your content and pictures should adjust into a stacked format.  If this doesn’t happen and your content looks cut off, then your website is not set up to be mobile responsive.

Second, pull out your smartphone and check your website from it.  Pretend now that you are a potential client: can you easily navigate through the content and find what you’re looking for or do you have to scroll and expand?  What about your contact information—is your address, phone number, and other important information quickly found and clickable?

Consider this: of all the local searches performed on a mobile device, almost 80% of them turn into a purchase.  It is definitely worth your while to make sure your website is responsive to fit the smaller screen of a smartphone.  Unsure how to get there?  Never fear—give Court Clerk a call at 609-254-3750 and we can make sure that your website is ready for all those mobile searches coming your way.
